ನಿನ್ನೆಯ ನನ್ನ ಟಿಪ್ಪಣಿಗಳ ಅಶಯಗಳನ್ನೇ ಇಂದು ಡಾ. ಅನಂತಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರು ಅನಕೃ ಜನ್ಮಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ: “ರಾಜ್ ಠಾಕ್ರೆಯ ಹಿಂಸಾತ್ಮಕ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಮಾದರಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ಆದರ್ಶವಾಗಬಾರದು. …. ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಉಳಿವಿಗೆ ಅನಕೃ, ನಿಜಲಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ರಾಜ್ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು.” 
ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಚಂಪಾ ಅನಂತಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಗೇಲಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಡಾ. ಅನಂತಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರ ಈ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನಾದರೂ ಮುಕ್ತಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಆಶಯ ನನ್ನದು. ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಉಳಿಸಿ, ಬೆಳಸುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದಾದರೂ ಸರಿ.
