V day

Sharath demands from Maldieves a special V day entry. This is his b’day week and how dare I refuse him? Well, in the spirit of the most commercialized and hyped day, I could not come up with anything original and hence picked a cheesy Kannada song but, trust me, unlike my English translation, the Kannada lyric sounds quite melodious. So here is your favorite Kannada poem and its transliteration as well as translation, especially for you, Bro (and happy birthday, in advance) and of course, to all the gentle inhabitants of the LOL!

Nalle ninna mareyalu enella maadide
aadare ellellu ninna nenape kaadide

arali ninta malligeyali ninnade nage
huuvina makaranda ninna tutiyade bage
sulidu banda gaaliyalli ninnade parimala
mamaradali ninnade gaana manjula

Nalle ninna mareyalu eenellla maadide
aadare ellellu ninna nenape kaadide

Maragalu maitumba namma hesaru tottive
pode podegala mareyallu nammade guttive
balli balli gelatiyelli endu kelide
dukhada madu maatillade mauna taalide

Nalle ninna mareyalu enellla madide
adare ellellu ninna nenape kaadide

Does V stand for ‘viraha’? anyways, a fine v piece. When can we expect a true v line from pdcs? Make it soon, but be sure.
